In this article I show you some of the tricks I've learned over the years and give you some ideas for how to better combine Flash and AuthorWare in your work. XTRA or ActiveX There are two ways to embed Flash movies in Authorware, the Flash Asset XTRA and the Flash ActiveX Control. The XTRA is shipped with Authorware and does not require anything on the user's computer, while ActiveX is part of the Flash Player on Windows (see Table 1).
